FAQ

Questions people ask before they click.

Will this work for my house — condo, HOA, well pump, CPAP, limited mobility, limited income?

Those are the situations generic advice skips, so they get their own chapters. The $0 plan and the $200 plan are honest plans, the well-pump surge worksheet and the medical-device runtime tables are in the appendices, and Chapter 18 is written for condo and HOA (no roof, no fuel storage), limited mobility (weight limits, plug-not-lift setups) and renters. The worksheets are what make it your house and not a generic one.

I'm not handy. Is this still useful?

Yes. Nothing in the manual asks you to open a panel or wire anything; the one hardwired option (the transfer switch in Chapter 17) is handed to an electrician by name. What it asks of you is a pencil, an evening, and a $20 plug-in meter. The rest is reading the box the way I would.

Is this a real book, or generated filler?
